Featured Shelter/Rescue

Lifeline Animal Project promotes homeless pet adoption, provides low-cost spay and neuter services, and works with local Atlanta shelters so that every dog and cat can be guaranteed a good life in a caring environment. Their goal is to include every adoptable animal in the Atlanta area in a searchable database.

Their Virtual Animal Shelter is easy to explore and not nearly as noisy as most shelters. Choose by breed, size or age, or just browse through all of the available pets. Please check it out!!

Assistance Guidelines

As of April 1, 2009 we have changed our application. All applications can be filled out at the pet food bank on your first visit. Please bring a Driver License or Green Card with you for application. Please call if you have any questions.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS TO RECEIVE FOOD

Agree that pets are for companionship and not for breeding or illegal activities.
Proof of spay/neuter for each pet receiving food.
Proof of income qualifications and photo identification.
Please bring container/bag for each pets food.
Each recipient will receive a one month supply of food for up to
4 dogs and 5 cats as long as pet food supplies can accommodate.
Agree to maintain healthy condition/environment living conditions for all pets, or let someone know if this is not possible.
Agree to volunteer or give back to the food bank.
Agree to give fresh water daily.
Agree not to tether or chain dog or cat 24/7.
